Recipe: Restaurant-Style Pan Seared Salmon

Ingredients:

  • 2 salmon filets (6 oz each)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Fresh herbs (such as parsley or dill) for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the salmon:
    • Pat the salmon filets dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the pan:
    • In your Hell's Kitchen Sauté Pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat until simmering.
  3. Sear the salmon:
    • Place the salmon filets skin-side down in the hot pan. Sear without moving them for about 4-5 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and golden brown.
  4. Flip and add flavor:
    • Carefully flip the salmon using a spatula. Add the butter and minced garlic to the pan. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, basting the salmon with the melted butter and garlic.
  5. Finish with lemon:
    • Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the filets just before removing them from the pan.
  6. Serve:
    • Plate the salmon and garnish with fresh herbs. Pair with your favorite side dishes, such as rice or roasted potatoes!
