This is my favorite pan in my kitchen and I have just about all the pans in the ****’s Kitchen cookware lineup. I use it almost every time I cook something. As soon as I start the stove top to get my pan going, it takes no time at all to heat up. The pan can get ripping hot in about a minute or so on medium high heat. I’ve cooked all kinds of meals from your standard eggs to sauces, to steak seared and finished in the oven. The nonstick (PFAS free mind you) is the cherry on top. I can fry an egg with just a little nob of butter. The eggs glide around smoothly (great if you like to flip your egg without a spatula). The even heat spread makes this pan stand out against others like it. I am very happy with this pan and it’s a great value for the money….and yes your lids from the tri clad pans work on the forged steel pans!
